Kilian Heerkloß

Education Manager in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, 2004-2006

As director of the regional training center (activities in instructor training, in training and cultural management, as well as an instructor for German as a foreign language for students of German language studies) Kilian Heerkloß supported various local partners in the fields of teacher training, cultural exchange, and mediation of the German language. He worked closely with the Goethe-Institut and assumed various tasks for the Goethe-Institut in the region.

Background

In 2004, Kilian Heerkloß was engaged in project work for the Goethe-Institut Bratislava and worked as an instructor at the Österreich-Institut Bratislava. From 2003 to 2004, he was a Robert Bosch Stiftung fellow in the program “Völkerverständigung macht Schule” and taught at the Mercury private high school in Bratislava. In 2003, he passed his second state examination for high school education in German and ethics at the Staatliches Studienseminar Gera. From 2001 to 2003, he completed his teacher training for high school education at the Staatliches Studienseminar Gera. In 2001, Kilian Heerkloß completed an additional course of study in German as a foreign language at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. That year, he also passed his first state examination in philosophy and German studies at the Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. From 1991 to 2001, he studied philosophy, German studies, and German as a foreign language at the Friedrich–Schiller-Universität Jena.

Since September 2006 instructor of German as a foreign language at Vienna language schools (integration courses, company trainings, business German).
