Dr. Odila Triebel
Dr. Odila Triebel developed and directed the Regional Education Center for German Language and Geography. She also developed programs for the German Cultural Institute and was guest lecturer at Tartu Ülikooli/University of Tartu. She has been active in projects for policy and history education, teacher training and school connection work, and numerous cultural events with a focus on literature and film.

Background
Dr. Odila Triebel studied literature and public rights in Heidelberg, Sussex (UK) and Berlin. She has worked as a freelancer in journalism and cultural promotion. She obtained a PhD from the Graduiertenkolleg "Repräsentation-Rhetorik-Wissen" for international cultural studies in Frankfurt (Oder) with a dissertation on imaginary policy: State ghosts. Political Fiction by E.T.A. Hoffmann. Böhlau (Cologne, Weimar, Vienna) 2003. Dr. Odila Triebel was guest lecturer at the Rice University in Houston/Texas.
Current
German American Institute Tübingen. Conceived and manages the program "Rent an American. The USA as guest in German classrooms" (Tübingen, Stuttgart, Freiburg). Since 2010 she is director of the "Fokus Dialogforen" at the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen e.V.
