German Cultural Center Cluj-Napoca, Romania
Exhibitions, concerts, workshops, readings – with a multifunctional program, the institution provides the Cluj-Napoca audience with insight into the contemporary German cultural landscape. Direct dialog between those engaged in the cultural sector and young people is of equal concern to the German Cultural Center Cluj-Napoca as is promoting elements of civil society. Through its cultural work the center would like to draw upon existing local initiatives and discourse and also provide support. The library and the language divisions expand the program’s work to the broader concept of a “Cluj-Napoca German Cultural Center”.

Above all, readers find 20th century German literature, reference books and textbooks from the most diverse departments. The collection is supplemented by numerous regularly updated newspapers, magazines, videos and audio materials.
