German Cultural Center Timişoara, Romania

The German Cultural Center is a cultural establishment that wants to paint a vivid picture of Germany for all those interested in German culture and language. The young and curious team directed its attention toward opening new pathways and doors and, most importantly, to promoting contact between people from Germany and Romania – but also in Timişoara and Banat. The cultural center provides an invaluable opportunity:

Since 2002 the cultural center has operated as a public-private partnership between the German Federal Foreign Office and the Robert Bosch Stiftung. The local operator is a German-Romanian cultural society in Timişoara.

The cultural center cooperates locally, countrywide and internationally with various partners: German and Romanian cultural and educational establishments, other European cultural centers, state and regional establishments, galleries, foundations and various non-governmental organizations and international partner organizations.
