A project by Frauke Wetzel, Julia Danila and Pavlina Svatanová.

27th Februrary to 6th of March 2015, Prag, Czech Republic and Dresden, Germany

The two one-day workshop supported networking, exchange and knowledge of experts between cultural managers alumni and people active in the dance scene. 22 participants listened in the theatre Ponec to Bára Procházková, journalist and trainer, Jakob Racek, RB-alumni and today head oft he culture department at the Goethe-Institut Prague and Dieter Jaenicke, artistic director of Hellerau – European Center for the arts Dresden.

The second part of the project took place in Hellerau – European Center for the arts Dresden, created by choreographer and philosopher Bara Kolenc together with Julia Danila, RB-alumna. The workshop looked at examples of historical and current use of rhetorical speeches and employed playful and for this occasion uniquely-designed methods to address and challenge the body to relate: through gestures, movements, movements sequences or simply through verbal connotation both, mind and body, produce. The workshop was a big success among dancers and non-professionals coming from different areas. Both workshops supported the exchange between artists and theorists and the network between different fields.

Both workshops took place within the festival Dance transit.Praha.Leipzig.Dresden organized by HELLERAU, Archa, Lofft and Ponec.
