Frauke Wetzel
The Collegium Bohemicum is devoted to the history of Germans in Bohemian countries and seeks to reach a wide audience by organizing events. Frauke Wetzel supported this goal through trans-border events and meetings related to culture and education.

After serving as a volunteer in the Theresienstadt Memorial, Frauke Wetzel studied cultural studies at the European University Viadrina. During this time she also studied at the Universities in Brno and Bordeaux. Frauke Wetzel organized seminars and conferences on historical-political topics, youth engagement and for culture makers, for the Goethe-Institut among other institutions. Starting in April 2006 she developed German-Czech history instruction as a teaching assistant at the University of Passau. Till December 2010 Frauke Wetzel worked as public relations officer at the Czech-German Culture Days, at the Brücke/Most Foundation in Dresden, which covers about 100 events in the Elbe/Labe region in Europe.
CurrentFrauke Wetzel received her doctorate under Prof. Dr. Claudia Kraft and Doc. PhDr. Kristina Kaiserová, CSc. The topic was forms of remembrance in the Czech-German borderlands since 1945. She is a fellow of the Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst e.V. Additionally, on behalf of the Bundeszentrale für politische Bildung, Frauke Wetzel coordinates the supplementary program for the festival “Politik im Freien Theater.”
