Antje Sachs
Antje Sachs directed the Cultural Department at the center of the German-Bulgarian Association of Saxony-Anhalt in Plovdiv during the years 2007 to 2009. In addition to the drafting of cultural projects she assumed leadership duties for the entire institution, the editorship of a monthly newsletter and the construction of a regional network as well as a database for cultural sponsoring, fellowships and European cultural contacts.

Antje Sachs studied therapeutic and rehabilitation pedagogy at the University of Applied Sciences Magdeburg and at the University of Iaşi/Romania (1997-2003). She was an assistant in a study project for "European understanding of therapeutic pedagogy in Germany, France and Spain in cooperation with social institutions".
While studying Russian language and Jewish cultural studies at the University Potsdam (2003-2004), she implemented a communal analysis in Berlin. The results were published by the Center for Democratic Culture in 2003/2004 as "Aspects of Democracy Endangerment in Berlin’s District Center and Opportunities for Democratic Intervention".
As a project coordinator in the Republic of Moldova (2003-2004) Antje Sachs developed a needs analysis for an intercultural youth training center and organized a youth photo project in the Republic of Moldova, Romania and in the Ukraine on behalf of the Institut für Auslandsbeziehungen (ifa).
During the Eastern European graduate studies (2004-2006) at the Freie Universität Berlin she worked as a tutor in the graduate program "Intercultural Conflict Management" and as GTZ assistant in Georgia compiling the "lessons learned" and "best practices" of "Capacity Building for Civil Society".
After returning from Bulgaria, she was working in an architects office in Vienna in charge of architecture & mobility research and consulting. Since 2011 she lives in Berlin and works as rehabilitation pedagogue for a social service company.
