Dr. Jennifer Schevardo
Dr. Jennifer Schevardo worked as a cultural manager at Collegium Bohemicum, a historical institution devoted to the very contentious topic of Czech-German coexistence in the Czech lands. Her most tasks at Collegium Bohemicum have been to establish professional contacts with local and countrywide cultural and educational institutions and also to promulgate the idea of Collegium Bohemicum in the city of Ústí by the organization of various cultural events.

Background
After studying History, French and Philosophy in Mannheim and Bochum from 1995 to 2000 Jennifer Schevardo discovered her interest in international cultural work through an internship at the Goethe-Institut in Paris. After her dissertation in Economic History, further research and teaching activities at the University of Potsdam she followed her love towards the practical and concrete and went to the Czech Republic as a cultural manager in the program of the Robert Bosch Stiftung. Jennifer Schevardo already knew the country and its language though several previous stays and it had long been her wish to be able to work there for a longer time.

Dr. Jennifer Schevardo is a program officer at the Center for Central and Eastern Europe of the Robert Bosch Stiftung at the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Auswärtige Politik, DGAP (German Council on Foreign Relations), Berlin. In addition she works as a freelance historian and is devoted to presenting historical topics to a broad public. She writes texts, organizes and moderates events and supports cultural and historical institutions in their PR.
